Stefano Baldini (born May 25, 1971 in Castelnovo di Sotto, Emilia-Romagna, Italy) is a retired Italian athlete and the 2004 Olympic and former European champion in the marathon.
After a disappointing 2007 season where Baldini did not finish the London Marathon, Baldini chose to run the New York City Marathon where he finished 4th. Baldini closed his Olympic career at the 2008 Beijing Olympics finishing 12th.[1]
He brought an end to his career in October 2010, having originally planned a final race at the Giro al Sas but deciding against due to an injury.[2]
